At a recent conservative conference appearance, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said that as president, he would appoint Supreme Court justices "in the mold of Justice Clarence Thomas and Justice Samuel Alito."

The same Justices Alito and Thomas who were instrumental in overturning Roe v. Wade, and are currently under active investigation for ethics violations.

We should be outraged by those comments, but we shouldn't be surprised.

Ron DeSantis' anti-choice, anti-LGBTQ+, anti-democracy agenda in Florida has been a shining example of the modern-day Republican agenda. Because for Ron, party politics will always come before the health, freedom, and safety of Americans -- so we can be sure he wants a Supreme Court that will uphold the same despicable agenda.
