Gov. DeSantis wants his extremist policies to become the law of the land
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis wants to bring his anti-choice, anti-LGBTQ+, and anti-democracy agenda to the Oval Office in 2024 — and he's prepared to stack the Supreme Court with justices that will uphold his dangerous plans.
We're asking pro-choice activists across the county: What do you think of Gov. DeSantis' anti-choice, extremist agenda?
John,
At a recent conservative conference appearance, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said that as president, he would appoint Supreme Court justices "in the mold of Justice Clarence Thomas and Justice Samuel Alito."
The same Justices Alito and Thomas who were instrumental in overturning Roe v. Wade, and are currently under active investigation for ethics violations.
We should be outraged by those comments, but we shouldn't be surprised.
Ron DeSantis' anti-choice, anti-LGBTQ+, anti-democracy agenda in Florida has been a shining example of the modern-day Republican agenda. Because for Ron, party politics will always come before the health, freedom, and safety of Americans — so we can be sure he wants a Supreme Court that will uphold the same despicable agenda.
This is where we come in, John. I'm asking every member of the EMILYs List community to take a stand. Make your voice heard by telling us what you think about the Florida governor's extremist agenda:
Thanks,
