Fellow Conservative,
Good Saturday Morning. It was a busy week! We released our nationwide polling efforts, part of our effort to build a winning conservative agenda in 2020 <[link removed]>, and it got a lot of buzz (even with everyone talking about the bloated budget deal).
2020 Issue Polling
This week, Heritage Action released <[link removed]> the results of our three voter issue polls and Executive Director Tim Chapman shared key insights about 2020 in a “must-read piece.” <[link removed]>
Here are a few key issues that really matter to voters:
- With respect to the issue of immigration <[link removed]>, polling indicates that roughly 47 percent of Republican voters believe overuse of social services is the greatest challenge illegal immigrants pose to America. That number jumps to 70 percent when you factor in those who answered “all of the above.”
- On the topic of health care <[link removed]>, our national polling indicates in five key swing states, 65 percent of voters reject single-payer healthcare.
- The Left’s pro-abortion agenda is radically out of touch with mainstream America. While only three Democratic congressmen have signed the discharge petition for the Born-Alive Abortions Survivors Protection Act, our polling shows that 76 percent of voters support these pro-life protections <[link removed]> for babies who survive abortions.

An Unsustainable Budget Deal
Last week, the House passed the Pelosi-Mnuchin budget deal with 93 percent of Democrats and only 33 percent of Republicans voting for it. This week the Senate followed the House’s lead and voted to saddle Americas with increased spending and more debt.
The federal government’s spending is out of control, as a result, Congress had to raise the debt ceiling once again so they could borrow more money. Their bill also increases spending over the next two years by $322 billion and adds $1.7 trillion to the debt over the next 10.
And our representatives did this all without implementing any sort of plan for curtailing spending or addressing the economic burden of our staggeringly large national debt, which now stands at over $22.5 trillion. That’s $65,000 for every man, woman, and child in the United States.
> > > See you how your senators voted here <[link removed]> and how your congressman voted here <[link removed]>. If they voted “NO”, give them a call to say thank you! If they voted “YES”, ask them why and hold them accountable for this bad vote.
Join us on Monday
Nancy Pelosi and other liberals in the House have embraced a radical abortion agenda that believes a baby doesn’t have a right to life, even once it’s outside the womb.
They refuse to support the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 962), which requires medical care to be given to any child who survives a botched abortion. Currently, abortionists can legally let these babies die.
Our polling shows these liberals are wildly out of touch with mainstream America. 76 percent of Americans support giving medical care to babies who survive abortions.
How you can help. This Monday marks six months since the the Born-Alive Act’s introduction and we will be raising awareness for the bill. You can join us by calling, tweeting, and emailing your members of Congress:
- Click here <[link removed]> to see if your representative has signed the discharge petition
- If he or she has signed, say “thank you”
- If not, make a strong ask that he or she sign it
