Last week, the House passed the Pelosi-Mnuchin budget deal with 93 percent of Democrats and only 33 percent of Republicans voting for it. This week the Senate followed the House’s lead and voted to saddle Americas with increased spending and more debt.
The federal government’s spending is out of control, as a result, Congress had to raise the debt ceiling once again so they could borrow more money. Their bill also increases spending over the next two years by $322 billion and adds $1.7 trillion to the debt over the next 10.
And our representatives did this all without implementing any sort of plan for curtailing spending or addressing the economic burden of our staggeringly large national debt, which now stands at over $22.5 trillion. That’s $65,000 for every man, woman, and child in the United States.
> > > See you how your senators voted here and how your congressman voted here. If they voted “NO”, give them a call to say thank you! If they voted “YES”, ask them why and hold them accountable for this bad vote.
