The world is hotter than it has been in the last 125,000 years! With flooding, droughts, wildfires, extreme heat, and more dangerous and intense storms, the world is screaming at us to save it. But are we listening?

John,

Inaction to truly address the climate crisis is coming at a very high cost.

Extreme weather events are happening against the backdrop of a rapidly warming planet. I live in New York in the Hudson Valley and my own area experienced extreme flooding this week. The Earth had its hottest day on July 4th, is 1.2℃ (34.16℉) warmer than in preindustrial times, and the next five years are predicted to be the hottest ever!

Yet rather than doing everything possible to avoid more devastation, the federal government and its enabling corporate sponsors are gearing up for more drilling, fracking, pipelines, fracked gas power plants, and petrochemical facilities — all of which are massive drivers of climate change.

This week, as massive corporations like Amazon push their profit-driven agendas, Food & Water Action proposes an Amazon Prime Day alternative: Instead of shopping today, consider making a gift to support real action to protect our food, water and climate.

Will you make a gift today to join our fight against runaway climate change? Donate $23 or any amount you can, and together we will protect people from the corporations and other destructive economic interests that put profit ahead of everything else.

FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE

At Food & Water Action, we’re looking toward a green, sustainable future that's still possible – if we demand it from our leaders NOW.

We’re going to do what we do best — organize rallies so our voices are heard, educate decision-makers about the dangers of inaction, and push leaders at the local, state, and national levels to finally act to avert complete climate chaos — by banning fracking and fossil fuel infrastructure and transitioning to green, renewable energies.

We take no corporate money so we can take strong, independent stands against anyone who threatens our health and environment. Will you join us?
