Money Makes Campaigns Go ‘Round

The fight to hold U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin’s essential pro-equality seat has already begun. And Tammy is off to a fantastic start: she raised a whopping $3.2 million in the second quarter [[link removed]] ! According to Spectrum News , that’s the highest dollar amount ever raised in a Wisconsin Senate race in one quarter during an off-year [[link removed]] .

Sarah McBride, running to be the first out trans person elected to the U.S. Congress [[link removed]] , also announced a substantial fundraising haul after just five days on the campaign trail [[link removed]] . As Mayor Annise Parker told The Washington Post, “Sarah McBride is ready for prime time.” [[link removed]]

Political Manager Eliza Fox recently returned from a trip to the Magnolia State, where she met with two of our endorsed candidates! Spotlight candidate Fabian Nelson [[link removed]] , running to be the first out LGBTQ+ person elected to the state legislature, knocked doors with Eliza and discussed campaign strategy. Eliza also met with our candidate for the Pike County Board of Supervisors, Justin Lofton [[link removed]] .
