** CALL TO ACTION: SHOW UP FOR BERNIE BEFORE SUPER TUESDAY!

Super Tuesday is coming--the debates are heating up, early results are coming in, Virginia is getting ready to vote. We have until March 3rd to make sure Virginians know that Bernie Sanders is the candidate building a diverse coalition willing to fight for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, housing as a human right, workplace democracy, union jobs for all, and immigration reform. With only one month left, the DSA for Bernie Working Group is ramping up its efforts to engage with voters and make sure they come out for Bernie.

DSA for Bernie is asking Metro DC DSA members to show their support this month and turn out for Bernie. This is this time to get involved! Here are some ways you can do so (and let us know which events you can come out to by filling out this Google form ([link removed]) !):

Knock Doors for Bernie in Virginia!

We are canvassing EVERY WEEKEND in February to gear up for Super Tuesday. This is our last chance to talk to Virginia voters before they head to the polls on March 3rd. We also take the opportunity to talk to folks about DSA and ways they can get involved so that we can keep building the movement after the 2020 election. Help us reach our goal of knocking 5,000 doors in Virginia before Super Tuesday! RSVP for a canvass below.

Feb 1 Arlington Canvass:
Our first Virginia Canvass is THIS SATURDAY! Don’t miss out. We’ll meet at the Courthouse Metro Station, 12:30-4 pm [link removed]

Feb 8 Alexandria Canvass:
We’ll be back in Virginia to canvass Alexandria on Feb 8. We’ll meet outside the King Street Metro, 12:30-4 pm: [link removed]

Feb 15 Virginia Canvass:

Feb 22 Virginia Canvass:

Feb 29 Get Out the Vote Canvass:

Attend a Debate Watch Party!

Feb 7 Debate Watch Party:
Join us for the first post-Iowa and the last pre-New Hampshire debate! February is an intense month for elections, take a break and join fellow socialists for brews and laughs. [link removed]

Feb 25 Debate Watch Party:
This is the last Democratic debate of February! The SC primary will be right around the corner on the 29th, and Super Tuesday just after that. We always say the debates are ones not to miss, but this is REALLY one you do not want to miss. [link removed]



Watch the Results from the Early States!

Feb 3 (THIS MONDAY!) Iowa Caucus Watch Party:
And so it begins…. On February 3rd, the first votes in the 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary will be cast at the Iowa Caucus. Bernie taking Iowa could change the course of the remaining primary season--where do you want to be when those results come in? Make sure you’re surrounded by fellow socialists by coming to DSA’s Iowa Watch Party!

Feb 11 New Hampshire Primary Watch Party:
Join us on February 11 as we await the results of the New Hampshire Primary! We’ll be at Penn Social at 7:30 pm to socialize and watch the counting! [link removed]

Feb 22 Nevada Caucus Watch Party:
What better after an afternoon of canvassing than to watch caucus results? After you join us for our Virginia canvass on Saturday the 22nd, stick around for drinks and caucus returns!

DSA for Bernie is fundraising to cover the cost of printing enough Virginia literature so that we can knock doors every weekend before Super Tuesday! We also want to buy Spanish literature so that no potential voters are left out of the conversation.
