Friend, the United States was founded on principles of
liberty, justice, and freedom for all — but the reality is that many of our
friends, families, and neighbors are excluded from that vision. Black, Brown,
Indigenous, LGBTQ+, people with low income, and immigrant communities are often
faced with barriers that make true “freedom” elusive.

At NILC, we believe in a more inclusive definition of freedom, one that empowers
