There are preparedness lessons here.

As a lot of you know, I've been living in Europe for the past six
months. But not "fancy" Europe. No Paris, no London, no Berlin, no
Milan. Instead, I'm sticking to the less expensive and, many would
argue, less sophisticated Balkan countries. I've learned a lot from this
research-heavy trip, and one thing that particularly applies to
preparedness is traditional food.
If you focus on traditional food that Grandma would make Grampa,
farmer's markets, bakeries, and gardens to stay fed, there's a lot you
can learn about preparedness from old-school diets.

Do you eat traditional food? What are some of your favorites? How about
foods from other countries or cultures? Can you see how you might apply
some of this to preparedness? Let's discuss it in the comments section.

We talk a lot about preparedness communities on The OP and one thing is
certain: finding a fit isn't easy. Some friends of mine are embarking on
an ambitious new project <[link removed]>. Please go
and check it out - this might be the answer for those of you who are
looking for the right place to weather the storm.
