It’s clear: When abortion is on the ballot, we win.

We have seen proof of this several times since the fall of Roe v. Wade and once again when our endorsed candidate Lashrecse Aird defeated her anti-choice incumbent opponent Joe Morrissey.

That means we have a real chance to elect a pro-choice majority in November... the best opportunity in a generation... but we cannot do it without your support.

We are nearing a critical end-of-quarter deadline. We must stay on track to reach our goal in order to support pro-choice candidates early, without restrictions, and give enough to win. As stated in the HuffPost, “Morrissey, once a self-described “pro-life” Democrat, has repeatedly voted against abortion rights legislation. Last year, he co-sponsored a 20-week abortion ban with one of his Republican colleagues, and earlier this year, he abstained from voting on a bill that would codify reproductive rights into the state constitution.”

Voters have had enough. According to the Washington Post, 75% of Virginians want abortion laws to be protected or less strict. That support for abortion rights helped propel Lashrecse Aird to victory as she defeated this incumbent anti-choice “Democrat” last Tuesday.

A majority of Virginians want abortion to remain protected and accessible. It’s up to us to make sure that happens.
