As stated in the HuffPost, “Morrissey, once a self-described “pro-life” Democrat, has repeatedly voted against abortion rights legislation. Last year, he co-sponsored a 20-week abortion ban with one of his Republican colleagues, and earlier this year, he abstained from voting on a bill that would codify reproductive rights into the state constitution.”

Voters have had enough. According to the Washington Post, 75% of Virginians want abortion laws to be protected or less strict. That support for abortion rights helped propel Lashrecse Aird to victory as she defeated this incumbent anti-choice “Democrat” last Tuesday.

A majority of Virginians want abortion to remain protected and accessible. It’s up to us to make sure that happens.
