This week, we’re learning more about the catastrophic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, as the Biden administration holds hearings on the disaster.

Since the toxic Norfolk Southern train derailment occurred earlier this year, grassroots organizing and advocacy from ally elected officials have forced the Federal government to address this crisis.

Without Congressman Chris Deluzio, and other members of Congress we elect who hold corporations accountable, we would not have made it this far.

After the derailment, Rep. Deluzio didn’t just offer “thoughts and prayers” to his constituents – he took action. Deluzio was on the ground from day one, mobilizing his constituent services. Then, he authored legislation that would prevent the next such disaster.

We’re proud to have helped elect Rep. Deluzio in 2022.

As Deluzio ran as a first-time candidate, we knocked on 20,000 doors, making sure to swing voters in his district. Support this work so we can re-elect Deluzio in 2024, and put Democrats in control of the U.S. House.

We mobilized our resources in southwest Pennsylvania to help elect Rep. Deluzio because we knew he would hold corporations like Norfolk Southern accountable. He had worked for years to empower working people and protect democracy and ran on addressing inflation by cracking down on corporate profits.

We have strength in Rep. Deluzio’s congressional district because we organize year-round on the ground. After we elected Deluzio in 2022, we didn’t stop. Our canvassers kept going, knocking on 40,000 doors in a key local election. This work built our power and kept voters engaged, so we’ll be stronger in 2024.

We need to flip just five seats to put Democrats back in power in 2024, and we’ll be working hard to make that happen. Your support is what allows us to do the work, and will allow us to win in 2024.
