2. North Carolina is a battleground state. NC was one of the tightest states in the 2020 election — Trump carried the state by just 1% of the vote. In fact, the outcome in 2020 was closer than any presidential election since 2008. Any statewide contest could come down to just a handful of votes.

3. National Republicans are targeting NC. The path to a GOP presidential victory runs through our state. We expect the national GOP machine to go all out to boost Republican candidates up and down the ballot next year — and the MASSIVE funds they pour into our state will impact our race.
