Your new steering committee is excited to let you know about upcoming Akron
DSA Events:

General Meeting: Sunday, February 23, 2-4 PM in Meeting Room 2AB at the
Main Branch of the Akron-Summit County Library (60 S. High Street.) Parking
in the High/Market Parking Deck is free with library validation. We have
several updates and outreach goals to discuss, a speaker from Akron United
For Bernie Sanders, and a brief presentation for Black History Month.

Socialist Reading Group: Saturday, March 7, 2-4 PM Community Room at the
Ellet Branch of Akron-Summit County Library (2470 E. Market Street.) We
will continue reading A Better World in Birth. We will read chapter 2 and 3
and discuss Exploitation and Imperialism. Contact us for a free pdf or
e-reader file of the text.

General Meeting: Saturday, March 14, 3-5 PM in the Community Room at the
Ellet Branch of Akron-Summit County Library (2470 E. Market Street.) This
meeting will feature discussion on the Ohio Primary, which is March 17.

Brunch Meet & Greet: Saturday, April 25,12:00-3:00 in the conference room
at Compass Coffee in Middlebury (647 E. Market Street.) Drop in at any
point to chat!

The new steering committee consists of:

Co-Chair Heather Hillenbrand (main focuses: local Akron issues, labor
organization)

Co-Chair Colin Robertson (main focuses: chapter building, political
education)

Communications Chair Tyler Bohinc (main focus: DSA for Bernie Sanders)

Treasurer Nick Roman

We have many outreach ideas, but if you just can't wait to get involved in
