Redefining success is an ambitious goal. DPM Lawrence Wong is challenging its definition to refresh the Singapore story.

What is the ‘good life’ we aspire towards? What does the Singapore story mean to us? Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong ([link removed]) asked the audience at the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) 35th anniversary conference on June 12. He said that a common thread among Singaporeans is the hope that society can embrace a more inclusive definition of success.

We want to build an inclusive society, which means giving ex-offenders a second chance in life. The Yellow Ribbon culinary competition ([link removed]) recently offered inmates and ex-offenders a chance to hone their culinary skills which would help with their employment opportunities.
