Team โ€” Happy Pride! ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ

June marks a time to celebrate the vibrant LGBTQ+ community and honor the brave individuals and organizations who for decades have been fighting tirelessly for full equality and freedom.

Freedom includes the ability to live authentically and without fear.

I have and will always stand with the LGBTQ+ community. During the 2022 campaign, I promised that if elected to Congress I would co-sponsor the Equality Act . Today, I made good on that promise.

The Equality Act is a crucial piece of legislation that protects individuals from discrimination in employment, housing, education, and federally-funded programs on the basis of sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Iโ€™m working hard to beat back attempts to scale back progress toward equality. Full equality can only be realized when the civil rights of ALL Americans are protected. Thatโ€™s our fight.

At a time when the far right is relentlessly targeting the LGBTQ+ community, especially young people, now is the time to show that we stand with our friends, family, and neighbors.

Please add your name alongside mine in support of the Equality Act โ€” because as we celebrate and march in parades, we also need to take tangible steps to achieve full equality for the LGBTQ+ community. [[link removed]]

Thank you for your support. This month, and every month, I am committed to the fight for equality for every Hudson Valley resident.

Yours in service,

Pat
