------------------------------------------------------------
2/12/20
SAVE THE DATE: May 30, 2020
Sacramento DSA is hosting its first ever local chapter convention to deliberate, debate, and ultimately democratically decide the direction the chapter will go for the next year of organizing.
Location: Fruitridge Community Collaborative.
Time: TBD.
** General Membership Meeting
------------------------------------------------------------
At our February General Membership meeting, we will hear committee updates, discuss new business, and more! A special discussion on chapter priorities will be conducted ahead of our chapter convention. The following questions will be discussed as a chapter:
What 3 organizing campaigns are you most excited about? What 3 issues are you most interested in organizing around? What 3 areas does Sac DSA need improvement on? Where do you want to see our organization in 1 yr? 5 yrs? 10 yrs? What resources do we need to accomplish these visions?
At all meetings, we adhere to the DSA "Rules for Respectful Discussion" to ensure an inclusive conversation where all voices are heard. You can read more about these guidelines here ([link removed] ([link removed]) ).
If you need childcare at this meeting, please email
[email protected] so we can arrange it for you.
Date: Saturday, February 15th, 1:30-3:30pm

** Housing Committee Meeting
------------------------------------------------------------
Join the Housing Committee to determine how we can implement a socialist housing policy in Sacramento, and build a strong grassroots tenants' movement to collectively advocate for our own needs. We will also discuss the significance of housing to the greater movement for socialism.
Housing is a human right! Let's demand a new system that allows everyone to live with dignity, and helps communities thrive.
