John,

President Trump released his 2021 budget this week, and it breaks one of his biggest campaign pledges to voters: that he would not cut Medicaid, Social Security, and Medicare.

He promised, "I'm not going to cut Social Security like every other Republican, and I'm not going to cut Medicare or Medicaid."

But his budget proposal slashes Medicaid by $920 billion – on top of cuts to Medicare and Social Security.

If the President wants to keep his promises, he should work with leaders like Jahana to lower prescription drug prices and expand access to affordable health care – not slash critical programs. Make a contribution to Jahana’s campaign today to ensure that we can keep her important voice in Congress → [[link removed]]

In 2017, the GOP passed their tax cuts for the rich, adding $2 trillion to the deficit. Now, they are looking to pay for those tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires by slashing social services. While the rich get richer, Connecticut families are left scrambling to make ends meet.

A budget is a statement of our values. It determines our nation’s priorities – who we uplift and support and who we leave behind. The message behind the 2021 budget is loud and clear: The wealthy will be wealthier while everyday Americans are left to fend for themselves.

Jahana has been speaking out loudly against these shameful cuts and we need to ensure her voice on these important issues does not get drowned out. Make a contribution to support her leadership and help secure her re-election. [[link removed]]
