Hosting on a Holy Land Trip - Virtual Info Session
Join EO Conference Coordinator Rev. Melissa Dodd at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, for a virtual info session. Melissa will chat with Rev. Paul Klepees and Rev. Mona Candea as they share their experience of the Bishop’s Holy Lands trip in 2022. They have been hosts on a trip to the Holy Land and will share their experience and tips for those who are hosting this trip or considering hosting. Grants for Deaf Awareness Ministries
The [link removed] Deaf & Hard of Hearing Ministries Committee (DHM), a partner of Global Ministries, is offering $500 micro-grants for United Methodist churches and ministries that encourage them to celebrate Deaf Awareness. September is Deaf Awareness Month. Some ways to celebrate or recognize Deaf awareness is a church can host a picnic, host a celebratory breakfast or lunch with signed songs, plan a Deaf Awareness Sunday service, hire an interpreter & promote it, go on an outing to a Deaf cultural event, host a sign language class - really just about anything you can think of to celebrate and recognize Deaf awareness.
