It&rsquo;s hard to think about a disaster when we are not in the &ldquo;season.&rdquo; Being prepared for a disaster of any form and any magnitude is crucial for your church, its members and the community. Hosting on a Holy Land Trip - Virtual Info Session
Join EO Conference Coordinator Rev. Melissa Dodd at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, for a virtual info session. Melissa will chat with Rev. Paul Klepees and Rev. Mona Candea as they share their experience of the Bishop&rsquo;s Holy Lands trip in 2022. They have been hosts on a trip to the Holy Land and will share their experience and tips for those who are hosting this trip or considering hosting. Grants for Deaf Awareness Ministries
The [link removed] Deaf &amp; Hard of Hearing Ministries Committee (DHM), a partner of Global Ministries, is offering $500 micro-grants for United Methodist churches and ministries that encourage them to celebrate Deaf Awareness. September is Deaf Awareness Month. Some ways to celebrate or recognize Deaf awareness is a church can host a picnic, host a celebratory breakfast or lunch with signed songs, plan a Deaf Awareness Sunday service, hire an interpreter &amp; promote it, go on an outing to a Deaf cultural event, host a sign language class - really just about anything you can think of to celebrate and recognize Deaf awareness.
