"You Will Regret It!" NCAA Swimmer Breaks Her Silence: Former UPenn swimmer ([link removed]) and Lia Thomas teammate Paula Scanlan has announced that she is joining IWV Advisor Riley Gaines in the fight to save women’s sports. In a new video, Scanlan released a personal statement sharing details of how the university harassed, manipulated, and bullied her and her fellow teammates into silence on the Thomas situation. The university went as far as to weaponize their “counseling services,” offering to re-educate teammates who felt uncomfortable. As tennis legend Martina Navratilova put it on Twitter, "Nicely put NCAA and UPenn. Nope-we will not regret it. We will not be silenced."

The teacher-hiring crisis is far from over. High teacher-turnover rates are outpacing the sharp decline in student enrollment numbers in K-12 public schools. Consider just a few examples of the nationwide trend. North Carolina faced a 12.1% teacher departure rate for the 2021-2022 school year, followed by 15.6% of teachers exiting the profession for 2022-2023. Louisiana had similar rates, at 11.1% and 13.9%, respectively. Washington State came in at 10% and 12% for those same years, experiencing the highest percentage loss of teachers for the state in more than three decades. Read More ([link removed]) .

California never ceases to stun the world with its flawed policy choices. Its latest bad decision comes from the California Assembly, which just passed AB 1228, the Fast-Food Franchisor Responsibility Act.
