NCAA Swimmer Breaks Her Silence: Former UPenn swimmer and Lia Thomas teammate Paula Scanlan has announced that she is joining IWV Advisor Riley Gaines in the fight to save women’s sports. In a new video, Scanlan released a personal statement sharing details of how the university harassed, manipulated, and bullied her and her fellow teammates into silence on the Thomas situation. The university went as far as to weaponize their “counseling services,” offering to re-educate teammates who felt uncomfortable. As tennis legend Martina Navratilova put it on Twitter, "Nicely put NCAA and UPenn. Nope-we will not regret it. We will not be silenced."
