Animal Wellness Action and the Center for a Humane Economy are fighting on so many fronts to help horses: *
Stopping
the
inhumane
and
costly
roundups
of
wild
horses
[[link removed]]
and
burros
by
a
government
agency
charged
with
protecting
the
wild
equids.
*
Ending
the
despicable
practice
of
horse
soring,
which
involves
trainers
injuring
the
front
feet
of
horses
to
cause
them
to
exaggerate
their
gait
as
a
pain
reflex.
*
Working
to
ban
horse
slaughter
for
human
consumption,
including
ending
live
exports
of
American-born
horses
to
foreign
slaughter
plants
