Dear John,

Did you miss yesterday’s webinar, “Thoroughbred Racing: Getting to Zero for On-track Deaths?”

You may view the event on the Animal Wellness Action YouTube channel here. Please feel free to forward the link to anyone you believe also may be interested in the subject.

Animal Wellness Action and the Center for a Humane Economy are fighting on so many fronts to help horses:
  • Stopping the inhumane and costly roundups of wild horses and burros by a government agency charged with protecting the wild equids.
  • Ending the despicable practice of horse soring, which involves trainers injuring the front feet of horses to cause them to exaggerate their gait as a pain reflex.
  • Working to ban horse slaughter for human consumption, including ending live exports of American-born horses to foreign slaughter plants.

If you’re not already following our organization on social media, please subscribe to our Center for a Humane Economy accounts and our Animal Wellness Action YouTube channel and LinkedIn page. It’s the most immediate way to get our news and information.

If you’re not already a subscriber to our blogs and other content, you may go here to subscribe. It’s fast and easy, and we never share your information with anyone.

Finally, your financial support is key to making this work happen. Animal Wellness has been rated platinum by GuideStar—earning the highest ranking with that organization. You may go here to contribute—and will do so with our gratitude.

BY THE WAY…
The next webinar in the Claudia Miller Ignite Series on Animal Welfare is Thursday, June 29, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. This webinar will focus on the 2023 draft of the Farm Bill and the additions we'll be pushing to protect animals. We’ll send you the event invitation as soon as it’s available.
