- Stopping the inhumane and costly roundups of wild horses and burros by a government agency charged with protecting the wild equids.
- Ending the despicable practice of horse soring, which involves trainers injuring the front feet of horses to cause them to exaggerate their gait as a pain reflex.
- Working to ban horse slaughter for human consumption, including ending live exports of American-born horses to foreign slaughter plants.
