Wellington Mayor Anne Gerwig is running as a Republican candidate for State Representative, District 93. Gerwig is challenging incumbent Democratic State Representative Katherine Waldron. Anne Gerwig is a 54-year resident of Palm Beach County and a 33-year resident of Wellington and District 93. Gerwig is currently serving her second 4-year term as Mayor of Wellington. She was the first Mayor in Wellington history to be re-elected without opposition. Her term ends in March 2024. Gerwig also served for six years as a Wellington Village Council member prior to being elected as Mayor (14 years total in March). Gerwig is the current Director of Client Communications for Alan Gerwig & Associates, Inc., a successful Wellington-based engineering firm. Gerwig has served on numerous state, county, and village boards and committees, including as an Executive Board Member of the Florida League of Cities, as past President of the Palm Beach County League of Cities, on the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, the Housing Leadership Council of Palm Beach County, the Palm Beach County Transportation Planning Agency, the Homeless Advisory Board, and a member of the Wellington Chamber and the Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce, to name a few.
