In just a moment, I’m going to ask you to chip in a donation to my campaign for Congress in CA‑47. But first, I want to share more about why I’m running, and why your support is so important.

When Katie Porter first announced she would run for the U.S. Senate and vacate the 47th District, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life: I decided to run to fill this seat.

This was not a decision I made lightly.

I stepped up because we need more women in Congress, especially now that our rights are under threat.

I stepped up because working families are struggling, the climate crisis is worsening, and the stability of our democracy is on the line.

I stepped up because there's too much at stake to wait for a tap on my shoulder telling me it's my turn to serve. The race for CA‑47 is a "must-win" for Democrats to retake the House, and we need to rally together to keep this seat blue.
