We are alerting Democrats about Joanna Weiss -- a public interest attorney and community organizer running to succeed Rep. Katie Porter in California's 47th Congressional District. This an open House seat and a critical district in deciding House control. To support Joanna's campaign, chip in here. We'd hate to see you go, but you can click here to unsubscribe unsubscribe.

John,

In just a moment, I’m going to ask you to chip in a donation to my campaign for Congress in CA‑47. But first, I want to share more about why I’m running, and why your support is so important.

When Katie Porter first announced she would run for the U.S. Senate and vacate the 47th District, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life: I decided to run to fill this seat.

This was not a decision I made lightly.

I stepped up because we need more women in Congress, especially now that our rights are under threat.

I stepped up because working families are struggling, the climate crisis is worsening, and the stability of our democracy is on the line.

I stepped up because there's too much at stake to wait for a tap on my shoulder telling me it's my turn to serve. The race for CA‑47 is a "must-win" for Democrats to retake the House, and we need to rally together to keep this seat blue.

The end of June marks our end of quarter deadline -- when we publicly report how much we’ve raised to the Federal Election Commission. It's critical that our report sends a message about the strength of our campaign.

Please send in a donation of $5, $35, or even $50 today. Any amount will go a long way in helping us keep CA-47 blue.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
$10 $35
$50 $100
$250 OTHER

Running a congressional race is expensive, and since I made the decision to reject corporate PAC cash, I’m counting on support from individual donors to fuel this effort.

Thanks in advance for doing your part.

In unity,

Joanna
