** Hunger on College Campuses Often Hides in Plain Sight

CBS News New York recently highlighted food insecurity among college students. Hunger Free America CEO Joel Berg explained that the expiration of federal COVID-era SNAP benefits will only make this problem worse.

** Amsterdam Students Visit HFA

Students from the Amsterdam School of Business visited NYC for a week of networking with various corporations. Looking for respite, students volunteered at HFA to learn about hunger in America and connect New Yorkers to food security programs.

** Debt Ceiling Bill Harms Hungry Older Americans
------------------------------------------------------------

Our CEO Joel Berg released a statement on the debt ceiling bill, which will raise the age for work reporting requirements for able bodied adults without dependents from 49 to 54. The bill would also eliminate work requirements entirely for homeless people, veterans, and young people aging out of foster care.
