Our campaign is doing well, but I still need your help. You may have recently heard about the apparent Republican interference by the Faith and Power PAC with a $1.6 million ad-buy in the Democratic Senate Primary here in North Carolina. To those pondering the false premise that the apparent Republican-led interference is evidence that the Republicans believe I am not the strongest candidate in the Democratic Primary, I have just one question: why am I leading in every *independent poll of this election cycle; seven of seven polls? (*excludes polls where the president of the polling company is an endorser AND max donor of my primary challenger - check the fine print in the recent PPP poll)


 


To those pondering the rumor the Republicans are supporting me because Thom Tillis thinks he has a better chance of beating me in the General Election, I have just one question: when was the last time Thom Tillis was right about anything?  To include his stance on allowing the Trump Administration to strip funding from military families and bases in North Carolina to divert funds to an ornamental border wall? His stance on Impeachment? His stance on conviction on the Articles of Impeachment?


I took the pledge to not accept corporate-PAC donations, nor the assistance of corporate-funded PACs, but please realize my campaign still needs money to operate for success. Please contribute to my campaign because I want to raise money the right way to fund my message, activities, and advertising. My leadership in honoring this commitment in full should catalyze a movement in North Carolina toward more fair and free elections. I urge all candidates running for office, regardless of party affiliation or position on the ballot, to reject corporate PAC donations. Every citizen of North Carolina deserves an equal vote that is not tainted by corporate interests.
