Juniors: Get ready to get ready part 2

Junior year is almost over. Take a few steps over the summer to prepare yourself for bigger steps during senior year.
*Visit colleges*
Schedule campus tours at two or three colleges or career training programs. This will help you learn about different education environments and decide which style is a good fit.
*Outline an essay*
Many post-high school education applications require an essay, so take time to think about one and outline it. Get tips and see samples at BigFuture [ [link removed] ] or see the 12th Year Campaign's Junior/Senior Student Workbook [ [link removed] ].
*Take summer classes at a local college*
Enrolling in summer courses can help you get ahead, and shows admissions officers that you are serious about and capable of being an academic success at their school.
*Learn about financial aid*
Washington?s generous state financial aid programs [ [link removed] ] can help pay for many types of education beyond high school, like certificate programs, job training, or college.
