Dear John ,
I am writing to you from WomenHeart, asking you to take action today. Millions of people – including many women with heart disease – manage their heart disease and risk factors by accessing quality, affordable healthcare through Medicaid. However, policymakers are currently considering proposals that would cut funding to Medicaid and add additional barriers, jeopardizing coverage for millions of people. Take action now ([link removed] to keep these proposals from becoming law!
Email Congress
Adding additional barriers to care, such as so-called work requirements, would add unnecessary administrative burden for Medicaid enrollees, resulting in widespread coverage losses. If Medicaid recipients, including women with heart disease, failed to perfectly navigate these burdensome administrative requirements, they could suddenly lose their healthcare. Women receiving treatment for heart disease or those managing risk factors like hypertension or diabetes cannot afford a sudden gap in care.
Please urge your members of Congress ([link removed] to protect Medicaid coverage and reject any proposals to enact cuts or barriers to healthcare.
Sincerely,
Amy Friedrich-Karnik
VP, Advocacy & Communications
