The New Pennsylvania Project is pleased to join Delaware County and the voters of Pennsylvania State House District 163 in celebration of Heather Boyd’s projected victory in Tuesday’s special election.
“The voters of Delaware County have spoken and we are incredibly pleased with the outcome,” said Kadida Kenner, CEO of the New Pennsylvania Project. “The stakes of this special election were incredibly high, which is why our organization committed our time and resources to get out the vote. We look forward to Rep. Boyd joining the Democratic Caucus in Harrisburg, and Speaker Joanna McClinton maintaining control of the Speaker’s gavel."

NPP CEO, Kadida Kenner, welcomes our newest staffer, Eric Leisure. Eric joins NPP as the Director of Strategic Communications (and may just be the guy crafting this exact eBlast):
Eric brings a “Frankenstein’s Monster” of a resume to NPP that includes over a decade of work at some of the Keystone State’s premier family-entertainment destinations followed by stints as a journalist with Vox Media and later a brand manager for a boutique MARCOM agency. Eric transitioned out of the private sector in 2020, becoming a Community Organizer in Squirrel Hill. He followed up that election cycle by managing Alyssa Cowan’s campaign for the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas before returning to statewide work in 2022.

Boyd’s election spares voters across the state an assortment of referendum questions Republicans had hoped to place on the November ballot to ban abortion and restrict voting accessibility had Ford won.
