Folks,
Yesterday, Republicans like my opponent, Cory Gardner, voted to acquit the president and showed the American people that they would rather protect Donald Trump than get the truth.
Before I go any further, I want you to know: I would have voted for evidence. I would have voted for witnesses. I would have voted to convict.
My friend, Alabama Senator Doug Jones, also shares those convictions.
You see, Doug represents an extremely competitive state that, more often than not, votes for Republicans. He knew his vote would open him up to massive attacks from the GOP (and it did!), but he did the right thing anyway.
It's clear we need fewer people like my opponent and more people like Doug Jones in the U.S. Senate. That's why I'm asking if you'll split a donation between our campaigns so we can keep Doug's seat and get our government working again.

Both Doug and I are facing mountains of outside spending because the GOP knows we'll be independent Senators unafraid to stand up for what's right. Special interests are so desperate to keep their power in Washington, they'll spend whatever it takes to defeat Doug and me.
Already, Mitch McConnell has pledged to spend nearly $200 million to attack vulnerable Democrats across the country. And after yesterday, you can bet more is on the way.
