Yesterday, Republicans like my opponent, Cory Gardner, voted to acquit the president and showed the American people that they would rather protect Donald Trump than get the truth.

Before I go any further, I want you to know: I would have voted for evidence. I would have voted for witnesses. I would have voted to convict.

My friend, Alabama Senator Doug Jones, also shares those convictions.

You see, Doug represents an extremely competitive state that, more often than not, votes for Republicans. He knew his vote would open him up to massive attacks from the GOP (and it did!), but he did the right thing anyway.
