Ukraine’s military said it had reclaimed about three square miles outside the eastern city of Bakhmut, which would be its first significant gains there in weeks, as the NYT reports

Palestinian militants fired hundreds of rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israel on Wednesday, while Israel pressed ahead with a series of airstrikes that have killed 21 Palestinians, including three senior militants and at least 10 civilians, as the AP reports

It just keeps coming—video of the amazingly great performances from the last several weeks of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. I know of no other two weeks in the year that offer such a collection of diverse and brilliant music. Because of the presence of Festival headliners Dead & Company, the unique thing that happened this year were the many performances by bands that have been inspired by the Grateful Dead.
