CCL conservatives go to Hill to talk climate solutions with Republican
lawmakers
More than 90 conservatives with Citizens' Climate Lobby went to Capitol
Hill on Tuesday to talk to Republican members of Congress about climate
solutions, specifically market-based approaches like the Energy
Innovation Act.
Daniel Palken, a CCL Conservative Outreach Fellow, said, "We're in this
room not to berate the politician but to try to work together to try to
push nonetheless for more aggressive climate solutions."
Here's a sampling of what showed up on social media about the lobbying
effort, which we invite you to share:

Media: Editorial endorsement in Florida
The headline pretty much says it all: "Bill to curb climate crisis would
impose fee on greenhouse gases. Citizens get monthly check. What's not
to like?" That was from an editorial endorsement that ran in the Sun
Newspapers, including the South Florida Sun-Sentinel
[link removed]
. It came about because of a meeting that CCL volunteers had with the
Sun Newspapers' editorial board in Port Charlotte. Volunteer Lindsey
Kohlenburg reports the meeting went for more than an hour, during which
they answered numerous questions about the dividend and prospects for
the legislation in Congress. Judging by the editorial, they had the
right answers.
CCL volunteers are regularly activating the " five levers
