This week, Washington D.C. celebrated its first annual D.C. Statehood Day to highlight the district’s fight to become a state – and to serve as a rallying cry for supporters across the country. D.C. has more residents than Vermont AND Wyoming but STILL has ZERO voting representation in Congress, team! Plus, Congress has the power to OVERTURN local D.C. laws. It is well past time that changed.

That’s why we’ve launched our D.C. Statehood petition drive to collect signatures of support from reliable grassroots supporters. But when we were checking for names from xxxxxx, we didn’t see yours!

With the future of D.C. statehood uncertain, we need top supporters like you to speak out. Will you add your name and be one of the 43 Democrats we urgently need to sign on before 11:59 P.M. tonight?
