This week, Governor Youngkin spoke at The Ronald Reagan Presidential
Foundation & Institute and emphasized that the Republican Party is the party of
education, safe communities, jobs and economic prosperity, unbridled
opportunity, and commonsense.



The Governor declared it is time to usher in a new era of American values and
called on all of us to champion a future grounded in the confidence that our
best days, indeed, are still ahead of us.

The Governor and First Lady toured the exhibits, met with library leaders and
educators, and paid respects to the nation’s 40th President, who embodied the
“Spirit of America” so well. Congratulations to Virginian David V. Trulio, who
has been tapped to lead the library.

The First Lady welcomed Virginians to the Executive Mansion to honor the
National and Commonwealth Days of Prayer. Did you know the idea for the
National Day of Prayer was initiated by Conrad Hilton, founder of Hilton
Hotels, which is now a Virginia-based company?



Mr. Hilton first proposed the idea for the legislation in 1952, and years
later, a 1988 bipartisan effort allowed President Ronald Reagan to sign May’s
National Day of Prayer into public law. Also, appreciation for the launch of
“Virginia Pray Now,” a monthly prayer initiative for the Commonwealth

Send A Kid 2 Camp



Project Give Back To Community’s Send A Kid 2 Camp is back with its 16th
annual give-athon! The First Lady joined efforts to promote Send A Kid 2 Camp
last year as part of efforts to increase youth safety, drug, and gang
prevention, mentoring, and special cultural experiences for youth in
underserved communities and who have experienced trauma, homelessness, or
financial hardships.

Regenesis Shout-out



At the start of Mental Health Awareness Month and leading up to Fentanyl
Awareness Day on May 9, the First Lady lauds Petersburg nonprofit Regenesis for
their multi-faceted and integrated approach to therapy, recovery homes, and
workforce preparedness. Special shout-out to this month’s graduates of
Regenesis’ personal development program affecting individual growth and change.

Business to set the record straight as Randi Weingarten tries to rewrite
history on school closures.

On the final leg of his first trade mission to Asia, Governor Youngkin laid a
wreath at the War Memorial of Korea in Seoul, South Korea, to pay tribute to
the hundreds of Virginia soldiers who lost their lives during the Korean War.
