Top Moments from the 2023 Forum on Leadership

At the sixth annual Forum on Leadership <[link removed]> this week, the Bush Center awarded the George W. Bush Medal for Distinguished Leadership to His Excellency Mr. Festus G. Mogae , former President of the Republic of Botswana, for his global work in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Chedza Mogae, President Mogae's daughter, accepted the award on his behalf. In addition, Emily Hanford , Senior Correspondent and Producer at American Public Media, received <[link removed]> the George W. Bush Institute Citation for her commitment to journalistic integrity on the important issue of our Nation's reading crisis. Florencia Velasco Fortner , CEO of The Concilio, recieved the George W. Bush Trailblazer Citation for her leadership and community engagement in North Texas and beyond.
