Top Moments from the 2023 Forum on Leadership

At the sixth annual Forum on Leadership this week, the Bush Center awarded the George W. Bush Medal for Distinguished Leadership to His Excellency Mr. Festus G. Mogae, former President of the Republic of Botswana, for his global work in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Chedza Mogae, President Mogae's daughter, accepted the award on his behalf. In addition, Emily Hanford, Senior Correspondent and Producer at American Public Media, received the George W. Bush Institute Citation for her commitment to journalistic integrity on the important issue of our Nation's reading crisis. Florencia Velasco Fortner, CEO of The Concilio, recieved the George W. Bush Trailblazer Citation for her leadership and community engagement in North Texas and beyond.
