Dear Friend,
As if yesterday wasn’t hard enough, we woke up this morning to the news that Ron DeSantis signed the near-total abortion ban. He did this in the middle of the night, while we were asleep, because he knows how incredibly cruel and unpopular this bill is with Floridians. If that’s not the height of cowardice, I don’t know what is.
Despite this bill being fast tracked through the legislature and signed into law, abortion is still legal in Florida up to 15 weeks — and will remain so until the Florida Supreme Court rules on a challenge to the 15 week ban which we expect sometime this summer. If you or someone you know needs an abortion, reach out at 1-800-230-PLAN or visit abortionfinder.org.
