DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT WITH A GIFT.

When my daughter Genesis was born, she seemed like a typical, healthy
baby. But when she was 6 months old, her pediatrician noticed that her
heart sounded strange. The doctor diagnosed her with a heart murmur
and referred us to a cardiologist at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

I can't really describe how it felt to have the specialists there tell
us that our 6-month-old's heart was failing.

If you have a child in your life who means everything to
you, John, you might be
able to imagine how helpless I felt, knowing that my beautiful, happy
baby would need a miracle to survive. But in the scariest moment of
our lives, Children's Hospital Los Angeles was there for us-and
I want them to be there for the next family, too.

Children's Hospital Los Angeles' Make March Matter campaign ends
tomorrow at midnight-and so does your opportunity to DOUBLE your
impact for sick and injured children-like my daughter, Genesis.

Genesis needed a heart transplant. It was a long, scary road, but we
had amazing support at every step. Genesis' team of doctors was able
to implant a specialized device to help her heart pump while we waited
for a donor. It helped keep her alive, but it came at a cost: My
daughter experienced two strokes.

Through it all, our family knew we were in the best possible place for
Genesis to get well.

From specialists at the top of their field, to nurses who made it
their mission to keep our daughter's spirits up, to a medical team
that checked in with us regularly to see if we were OK with how our
daughter's care was progressing, the expertise and compassion shown by
every person on her care team made the months Genesis spent waiting
for a new heart less scary.

Genesis finally got a new heart. Now she can go back to just being a
kid. And I want every kid to have that opportunity.

John, will you help
me make sure that every child who comes to the hospital gets the
critical, lifesaving care they need?
