Outright International brought a historic number of activists to the 67th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). Our Caribbean, African, LBQ Connect partners, and UN Rights and Religion Fellows were among the delegates who were able to engage with movement leaders and UN Member States.

Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Bill, passed in parliament on March 21, 2023, will be the world’s most draconian anti-LGBTQ legislation if enacted into law. President Museveni has 30 days to decide whether to assent to the law. Ugandan and international businesses, humanitarian organizations, and development partners should use their influence to staunchly oppose the bill.

Celebrating Gender Identities and Expressions: In Native Hawaiian culture, there is a place in the middle. Māhūs are third-gender people with spiritual and social roles. Hinaleimoana Kwai Kong Wong-Kalu, also known as Kumu Hina, is a Māhū activist. She has been trying to preserve and promote indigenous culture to young and queer generations. Advocating for Equality: Panama’s Supreme Court has joined the Peruvian Constitutional Court in opposing the recognition of same-sex marriage.
