The introduction to the lawsuit states: “The City of Los Angeles perpetrated one of the worst security breaches in recent memory, releasing service photographs of undercover officers pursuant to a California Public Records Act request; all without notifying any of the affected officers or even informing their union, the Los Angeles Police Protective League, of the pending request.
