Dear John,
At our core, the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters values and uses scientific findings in our fight to permanently protect the Boundary Waters. As part of my role at the Campaign, I lead our water quality research program. We test year-round in all conditions - from the bitter cold to hot summer days. (Sometimes my dog Iceman joins me!) No matter the temperature or season, we are committed to doing this important research.
I have worked and enjoyed the Boundary Waters for years, leading and guiding trips, as well as venturing out on my own. I’m constantly reminded of how ecologically diverse this Wilderness is. Permanently protecting the Boundary Waters ensures clean water for wild rice to grow, and healthy forests for wildlife including wolves, loons, pine marten, fisher, otter, mink, beaver, deer, moose, walleyes, northerns, trout, and bass. Did you know? This region is also a globally-important birding area with more than 250 species including bald eagles, ospreys, hawks, owls, warblers, jays, woodpeckers, loons, swans, herons, and many more.
From now until March 31, your gift will be doubled , thanks to a generous supporter. Don't miss this opportunity to double your impact. Your gift allows us to continue to use science at the forefront of our Campaign [[link removed]] .
