Hitting our fundraising goals are critical to staying on track to hold the
Senate -- and none more so than our quarterly FEC goals.
Every financial quarter, the FEC (Federal Elections Commission) requires
political campaigns to report their fundraising numbers. This report is
published for everyone to see -- pundits, opponents, and GOP operatives
included.
When we report a strong quarter, we show the world that we mean business. They
see that Chuck is serious about keeping the Senate, even this early in the
election cycle. In fact, strong numbers this early is the best possible sign we
could send.
But not hitting our FEC goal would signal to MAGA Republicans that Democrats are
vulnerable. They'd see an opportunity to blast us with attack ads, knowing we
lack the resources to respond effectively.
