John,This coming Friday is an important milestone in our campaign: our first public fundraising deadline of the election year.

Immediately after Friday night, my finance team will pull our numbers and compile a report of how much we’ve raised and how many supporters have chipped in to our campaign. Shortly after, that report will go public for everyone to see — an important step to make sure candidates are accountable and transparent with their finances.

This is more than just another deadline. Our numbers will be under close scrutiny, and the strength or weakness of them will shape the early narrative of our race. Because I can guarantee this, John: if our opponents detect even an ounce of vulnerability, they’ll move fast to launch attacks.
