NC Values Coalition

Dear Friend,

March 12 was Detrans Awareness DayAs victims of gender reassignment surgeries and cross-sex hormones strive to raise awareness of the devastating, irreversible damage transitioning has caused, NC Values is focusing on this important issue facing our culture, especially children.

Fast Facts:

  • Many youth who transition say social media was the convincing factor, and that they were subject to a cult-like experience with trans activists.

  • Researchers have found “clusters” of gender dysphoria in certain schools and groups of friends, with the dysphoria spreading as a social contagion.

  • Detrans survivors say prescriptions for cross-sex hormones and orders for gender reassignment surgery were given out over the phone, or by the first or second appointments with no mental health plan to address their dysphoria.

  • Planned Parenthood is the second largest provider for hormone therapy in America.

Meet Cat Cattinson, who struggled with gender identify for years, learned about female-to-male transitioners on the internet when she was 13, and decided to transition. After a 30 minute call with no visit, Planned Parenthood prescribed hormone therapy for twice the normal dose prescribed, rendering her voice unrecognizable. Still suffering medical issues from the hormones, Cat generously shares her story to educate the community about the dangers of medical transitioning.

Finally, the first quarter of the year is always one of the most difficult for a non-profit like ours that relies on your donations. Would you help ensure we continue our momentum protecting children by making a one-time or monthly donation towards our work defending and advancing your values in North Carolina?

Sincerely,

Tami Fitzgerald,
NC Values
