Dear Friend –
We’ve had a strong start to the election year. During this recent session of the General Assembly, I’ve worked with my Democratic colleagues to protect public education dollars for our children, abortion access and reproductive rights, and LGBTQ+ children targeted by politicians. I have blocked bills put forward by our Republican Governor and his cronies – bills that dismantle the inclusive Virginia we have been trying so hard to build.
He’s not going to let our work go unpunished. He’s committed to running a candidate in every district in order to gain control of the legislature so that he can push through his extremist anti-woman, anti-education, and anti-environment laws next session.
But you can help. Our first major financial deadline of the election year is this Friday, and it’s going to be a true test of our campaign. We need to show the governor that he can’t bully those who stand up to him.
