Salaam,
On behalf of Emgage, I hope you are having a month full of good health and compassion. As Muslims across the world join together to reflect on gratitude, I am reflecting on how grateful I am for you – our community.
Our tradition places great importance on the idea of sadaqah jariyah, or an ongoing charity. These acts of generosity will benefit others, and ourselves, beyond our lifetime on Earth. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “If a Muslim plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, it is regarded as a charitable gift or sadaqah for him.”
At Emgage, we work daily to serve Muslim Americans. Whether it is by empowering youth leaders, providing resources to underserved groups, or bringing together Muslim organizations to form powerful civic tables, our commitment is, and always has been, ensuring that our community's needs are met, and that we are cultivating a better future for future Muslim Americans.
Your contribution to Emgage will benefit both you and your community, now and in the future. In this month of giving, I am reaching out to ask you to be a part of our project. Will you join us today?
