Friend,

Washington’s King County has taken some huge steps in the
fight against the climate crisis. Their 2015 Climate Action Plan
has served as a blueprint for countless cities on how to reduce
carbon emissions. Now they’re taking another step and
incorporating an Environmental Justice provision into the plan.

Add your name if you think cities throughout Washington state
and across the nation should implement environmental justice
plans:

We need 500 people to sign on in support in the next 48
hours!

The environmental justice movement addresses a statistical
fact: people who live, work, and play in America's most polluted
environments are most often low-income people or people of color.

justice.

King County’s new environmental justice provision, combined
with Governor Inslee’s net-zero emissions plan and the work of
our members, is why Washington state continues to lead the way in
the fight to combat the climate crisis.

Thanks for taking action,

WA Senate Democrats
